We loved seeing your sketch-inspired projects over the past month, thank you so much to all of those who participated in Challenge #58!

Now, onto Sunbird Spark Challenge #59! This month we have a fun spring-themed moodboard for our inspiration. Don’t forget to link your projects below for your chance to win a gift card to the shop!

I started by creating my background using the Art Deco Elegance 3D Embossing Folder and adhering it down to my top-folding notecard. Next, I diecut the bottom 1/4 of the Dynamic Dotted Chevron Cover Die from holographic cardstock and adhered it down to my card base on an angle. I also added a strip of glitter cardstock to tie together the background.

Next, I used holographic foil and heat-pressed the Timeless Tulips Press Plates onto white cardstock. I used dye inks and the Timeless Tulips Layering Stencils to add color to my florals and cut it out with the coordinating dies. To add dimension, I adhered two extra diecuts behind my floral and adhered it down to my card base. I finished the card off with a sentiment from Flourish Boldly Clear Stamps and some embellishments!

We loved seeing your focal point-inspired projects over the past month, thank you so much to all of those who participated in Challenge #57!

We’re a little late this month, but nonetheless it’s time for Sunbird Spark Challenge #58! This month we have a fun sketch for you. Don’t forget to link your projects below for your chance to win a gift card to the shop!

For today’s card, I started by creating my background. I painted simple watercolor lines diagonally across a piece of mixed media paper, stopping at the halfway point. Once the panel was dry, I adhered it down to my top-folding card base.

Next, I used gold foil to press the Flourish Boldly Press Plates onto white cardstock, and cut the floral cluster out with the coordinating die. I cut two additional diecuts from scrap cardstock and adhered them to the back of my florals to create dimension before adhering it down to the center of the card. I gold heat-embossed a birthday sentiment from Enchanting Paris, and finished the card off with some gold embellishments!

Unfortunately, we didn’t have quite enough participants to declare a winner, but we really want to thank you so much for participating in Challenges #55 & 56.

Now, onto Sunbird Spark Challenge #57! This month our challenge is to create a “focal point”, we hope this more broad theme will allow your creativity to flow! Don’t forget to link your projects below for your chance to win a gift card to the shop!

I started by creating my background using white shimmery cardstock and the Dynamic Dotted Chevron Cover Die. Once die-cut, I adhered this down to my A2 card base. Next, I used gold foil to press the Timeless Tulips Press Plates onto some white cardstock. Then I used the coordinating stencils and dye-based ink to add some color.

Next, I cut the largest frame from the Bellezza Frames Nested Dies out of gold cardstock to match my foiling and stacked it atop two additional diecuts I cut from white cardstock to add some dimension. Then, I adhered my frame around my tulip image. I cut off the excess cardstock and adhered this down to my card base as the focal point.

I used the same gold foil to press the “Bloom Fiercely” sentiment from the Flourish Boldly Press Plates, and cut it out using the coordinating dies. I adhered my sentiment to the center of my card using foam tape, and finished it off with some gold embellishments!

Now, onto Sunbird Spark Challenge #56! This month we have a fun holiday inspired moodboard for our inspiration. Don’t forget to link your projects below for your chance to win a gift card to the shop!

I started by using the Modular Maze 3D Embossing Folder to emboss the front half of my top-folding card base. I also embossed a smaller piece of gold foil cardstock and adhered it to my card base, lining it up at the top to fit directly with the embossed pattern underneath. I added a strip of black glitter cardstock to cover the seam and add some interest.

Next, I stamped and white heat-embossed a sentiment from Magical Christmas Sentiments onto some green cardstock and fussy cut it out. I adhered my sentiment to the card using foam tape, and just like that I have a clean and simple–but very shiny–holiday card to add to my stash!

Now, onto Sunbird Spark Challenge #55! This month we have a simple sketch to get your creativity flowing. Don’t forget to link your projects below for your chance to win a gift card to the shop!

For today’s card, I started by blending my background directly onto my card base. I used some post-it tape to mask off the bottom 2/3 of the card base and blended the top portion with Distress Oxide inks in Shaded Lilac, Tumbled Glass, and Peacock Feathers. Then, I used Barrel A from Flurry Snowflakes Stencils 360°™ to sporadically blend a few snowflakes overtop using Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet.

Next, I stamped and colored the skier image from Most Wonderful Time and diecut it out with the coordinating dies. I adhered it to my card toward the top right, and finished it off with a sentiment from Greetings from Santa.
